You can have, do or be anything you want if you control your mind.

Most Thoughts are Garbage
I’d like to talk about the nature of our thoughts and why you have negative thoughts about yourself. First, one way to look at this is the thoughts you are having right now about yourself are primarily negative. You must realize that your thoughts are mostly garbage. It’s no coincidence that you have negative thoughts about yourself. Research shows that we have more than 70,000 self-talking thoughts in a day and most of them are unfortunately negative.
When you listen, read and watch negative stuff, you add dominance of negative thought patterns to your mind along with the negative ones which were added to you somehow during your childhood. Those 70,000 thoughts are mostly repetition. They are the same thoughts. Negative thoughts like “I’m not good enough.” – “It is not gonna work out for me though it works for others.” – “The economy is wrong.” – “The president is wrong.” – “The timing is wrong.” – “I don’t have the right education.” – “I don’t have enough experience.”
All of these kinds of negative thoughts about yourself keep you shut down and hinder you from reaching the life you strive to live they hinder you from reaching your dreams. And when you look at the essence of these negative thoughts they are reactive, they don’t bring about good things to you..remember likes attract likes. And since they are negative, do not expect them to bring you something better.
Your Thoughts Are NOT Your Thoughts
The second thing that you need to know is your thoughts are not your thoughts. You must upgrade your thoughts by taking up these steps I’m gonna mention in this post.
Step 1: Your negative thoughts about yourself are separate from your negative thoughts
The first step into transforming your negative thoughts about yourself is recognizing that you are separate from your negative thoughts about yourself and this is massive earth-shaking news when you hear it for the very first time.
There have been books that talk about this idea. You are not your mind. You are not your brain.
I was shackled the first time when I heard this in India at Oneness University when Sri Bhagavan mentioned it saying that You are NOT your thoughts. He carried on talking that our thoughts come from the mind…”THE MIND” and there’s only ONE MIND and in the middle of it, there is lots of negativity.
Your mind is ancient, in the middle of it there is fear, lust, jealousy, hatred, war and whatever negative stuff you know is there… in the center of it.
The biggest problem is that we cannot help but drift away with these negative thoughts, we see them in our brain, we feel them which ignite them and give them power to convert into reality.
Being aware of your thoughts is a CHOICE
We keep telling ourselves: “I’m not good enough.” We want to become aware of this and take it to heart by reminding ourselves consistently that whatever we negatively, think & feel for no reason about ourselves is a game played by our mind. Those negative thoughts we are having is we are having them day and night BUT we are NOT them. Once we are aware of this, we are one step ahead.
Step 2: Switch on the Good Feeling
Next, we want to change the feeling or switch it, repairing it per se by telling ourselves that “Everything goes right for me. I’m fine…It’s fine and things are good and fantastic. I call it the switching to the Good Feeling for no reason. Think about it, if your mind plays tricks on you by sending you those negative thoughts and feelings why not do the opposite by thinking, seeing and feeling the best we want to see. This needs practice nut totally achievable. Just do it over and over.
Now we’ve flipped off that energy that was causing us to feel bad. Because of that negative thought, so that’s the second step is to become aware that I’m not my thoughts.
Step 3: Create Thoughts You Want
The third step is to start to generate what you want to think about. This is where things like, affirmations, positive thinking, positive statements instead of saying, “I’m Not good enough” begin to say “I am good enough” begin to say “This can work out for me.” because this kind of work or this post has worked for other people like Henry :))) Why can’t it work for me too?
You can start to build your software of the mind if you want. Then, we can get into details, like, what you’re going to tend to bring into your life or things that you think about a lot. Most people think about the things they’re afraid of. The things that they’re worried about. I tell my students all the time, why don’t you start thinking about the things you loved? The things you’re passionate about and you’re gonna go in a new direction. You’ll be happier. You’ll be healthier. You know, you’re gonna have better momentum. Repetition of that of what you want is going to be a big thing.
Those feelings of passion will put you in the direction that you prefer, and actually having an image and the image could be a graphical representation of what you want it can be a house. It can be a car, a dream job, a pile of money or a spiritual awakening. The brain reticular activating system responds to the repetition of imagery and emotion that happen in you.
You can program yourself then voila you begin to tap into a better reality. You create your own reality from your beliefs, you change your beliefs, and you will get a different better reality and thus positive thoughts about yourself.
I hope that this post shed light on you about having negative thoughts about yourself and how to fix this problem. You are not the only to have those negative thoughts. We all do. Do yourself a favor and start practicing the steps I mentioned above. I look forward to hearing your comments or any suggestions you have in mind. Love you!
